We exist because accountability journalism should be free.
Narayani Thoughts is India's trust-first civic media platform. We fact-check political claims, track government promises, explain complex policy in plain language, and give citizens the tools to hold power accountable.

Our Mission
To make accountability journalism accessible to every Indian — regardless of language, income, or access to expertise. We believe an informed citizen is the strongest check on power.
Source first, always
Nothing publishes without a primary source. Press releases do not count. Official records, court filings, government data — these are our starting points.
Data over narrative
We lead with numbers, not arguments. When the data is complicated, we say so. When it contradicts a popular belief, we publish it anyway.
Corrections within 24 hours
We make mistakes. When we do, we correct them publicly, with the original error visible and the correction timestamped. No quiet edits.
Zero political ownership
Narayani Thoughts has no political party backing, no corporate parent, no government grant. Our independence is structural, not aspirational.
Clarity over jargon
Every story is written for a citizen who has a Class 10 education, not a policy insider. If we cannot explain it simply, we have not understood it.
Right to appeal our verdicts
Any person or institution we cover can formally respond. Substantive responses are published alongside — not buried — the original story.
